The Introduction to Floral Design course was designed to help students of any age establish a well-rounded floral education based on our national standard (AIFD). By learning from this standard, students are ensured to develop a strong, quality education that can be used to build a solid career in floral design.
This program will give you a broad understanding of the basics of floral design including floral mechanics, care and handling, and proper procedure — all with a strong emphasis on the principles and elements of design.

Students will need to attend and complete all Intro classes and take/pass the final exam to receive a Course Completion certificate. To become certified from this course, a successful student will need to fulfill the 6-month floral industry employment requirement.
