Fairytale Florals, North Little Rock

scott-picNestled within the sleepy, historic Park Hill district of North Little Rock is a quaint little flower shop bursting with character.

Opened in 2001, Fairytale Florals came on to the floral scene with a flash of something new and intriguing. No one could ever accuse Fairytale Florals owner Scott Brents CFD of subtleties. His shop is abundantly dressed floor to ceiling with colorful decorations, interesting props, one-of-a-kind trinkets and gifts, combination gardens, candies, oh and fresh cut flowers too!

The shop and window displays are punchy, memorable and change regularly. As chief decorator for the North Little Rock High School prom, Brents knows a thing or two about outlandish, eye-catching exhibits. You could almost swear the shop slogan must be: If a prop cannot be found, a prop shall be made! Giant prop relics of past events loom around every corner of Fairytale Florals.

Enormous bejeweled and brightly painted plywood elephants peer down from the walls. An antique typewriter rests inside a small bedside table made out of a vintage suitcase. Mannequins dressed in handmade Victorian garb stand silently next to carousel horses covered in glitter, crystals and trim. Garlands and wreaths patiently made from old book pages hang from constructed pallet walls. Custom beaded and buttoned wedding bouquets are scattered about the shop — but certainly nothing can compare to his metallic “Robot” creatures or the whimsical acrylic paintings created by Brents himself.

With such great examples of artistic vision, is it any wonder why the adventurous bride would go anywhere else for her wedding flowers? To help create truly unique wedding bouquets and arrangements, various design materials such as stones, feathers, wire, and textiles come together with a collection of assorted flowers in unexpected color combinations. Some may even say this is the Fairytale Florals signature look.

But Fairytale Florals doesn’t stop at wedding flowers for the adventurous flower combination. You can bet to find some interesting and fabulous floral arrangements coming from the design bench. Brents and his team are often found at area floral educational shows and our own AFA Convention, gathering new insight and inspiration to bring back to the shop. No matter the size or occasion, the design team at Fairytale Florals will be sure to create something memorable and fantastic.
